Minecraft launches Corfe Castle

In April 2022, the doctor shared an interesting story about a school in Preston, England, using Minecraft to teach students about "floods". The entire game module is very informative, not only about the causes and principles of flooding, but also how to deal with it. Usually, the above knowledge is a bit boring when taught through books, but when it is taught through the popular game "Minecraft", everyone is very interested!

In addition to teaching about "floods", Minecraft can also play a huge role in the preservation of monuments, the dissemination of knowledge, and more! Recently, Microsoft's Xbox gaming division has partnered with the National Trust to rebuild Corfe Castle, a well-known British monument in Minecraft!

Corfe Castle is a castle located in the village of Corfe Castle in Dorset, England, dating back to the 11th century, built by William I. Today, the castle is managed by National Trust and is open to the public. The developer Mojang Studio invited Grian, a well-known player of "Minecraft" to take charge of it, and asked "Alice Loxton" to assist in the production. Grian said: "It was a great experience working with National Trust to rebuild Corfe Castle in Minecraft. I'm personally interested in this and enjoy sharing my own rebuilding of the ruins with others, using the game to learn is something I've never experienced before in school and I'm glad that today's students can learn so much".

In the end, National Trust is satisfied with Grian's creation. Corfe Castle is not the first monument to be added to Minecraft, and naturally it will not be the last. More and more monuments will be moved to "Minecraft" in the future, and these contents will also be incorporated into "Minecraft: Education Edition" into electronic teaching materials to make it truly educational and fun!
