- Israel-based online gaming company Playtika Ltd. announced Monday the creation of a separate division employing 150 people to focus on the rapid development of casual games. In a phone interview with Calcalist on Monday, Playtika's chief marketing officer Nir Korczak said the company plans to launch several new games a year and wants to create the next game.

Playtika's casual games lab is based on the 2017 acquisition of Jelly Button Ltd. Some of Jelly Button's employees were integrated into Playtika's casual games lab after the acquisition, but Korczak said the company will also hire more people for the casual games lab.
The space covers 2,400 square meters and has 135 Casual Games Lab employees, with another 15 working in London. Playtika employs more than 2,500 people in 16 offices worldwide, with its management team based in Israel. The company says its games have more than 27 million active monthly users.
